What are the major shifts and trends happening in Catholic parish life today? Join us at our Parish Lenten Gathering, March 30th, at 12:30 PM for Lunch and a viewing of America Media’s “People of God: How Catholic Parish Life is Changing in the United States,” directed by, Sebastian Gomes. Following the documentary Sr. Meg Guider, O.S.F., and Deacon Joshua Choong, SJ, will lead us in a discussion. Sr. Meg is an Associate Professor of Missiology and ecclesiastical faculty of the Clough School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College. Deacon Joshua is a Jesuit in formation with the Australian Province of the Society of Jesus serving his deaconate here at Saint Peter Parish. The Documentary “People of God,” explores the state of parish life in the United States today. The Documentary focuses on four specific parishes in geographically, culturally, and ethnically distinct areas of the country. It aims to capture experiences that are both familiar and foreign to viewers and to raise important questions about the future of parish life.
