ALL GIFTS DUE BY December 8, 2024
This year we are helping six local programs. To participate, please take a tag (or 2 or more), affix it to your unwrapped gift, and return the gift to St. Peter Parish no later than December 8th. All gifts should be new items. This will give enough time to the organizations to prepare and distribute your donations. Thank you, as always, for being such generous neighbors!
HARVARD SQUARE CHURCHES MEALS PROGRAM (HSCMP) continues to operate every Thursday at Christ Church in Harvard Square, where it serves a nutritious sit-down dinner to over 120 people. They would like $10 Dunkin Donut Gift Cards, Hand/Foot Warmers and Socks. Please hand donations to a Parish Staff member or drop off at the Parish Office Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS is dedicated to transforming the lives of runaway, homeless, and high-risk youth with services that guide them toward self-sufficiency. They need large backpacks filled with toiletries (soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, hand sanitizer, water bottle) and Hand/Foot Warmers, Winter Socks, Sleeping Bags, Winter Jackets, Flashlight/Batteries. Please drop off your gifts at the weekend Masses or Parish Office Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
BRIDGES HOMEWARD provides help for foster and group care, adoption, developmental disabilities, and family support, all programs that support children and youth, and to strengthen families throughout Massachusetts. They are asking for Target and Amazon Gift Cards in increments of $25.00. Please hand donations to a Parish Staff member or drop off at the Parish Office Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
EAST END HOUSE has served area residents for over 140 years, providing a wide range of programs and services to a diverse population to strengthen family and community and to give families the resources they need to help their children succeed. This year we are helping support their Annual Toy Drive with new non-violent toys, Games, Activity Sets, and Books, for children of all ages. Please drop off your gifts at the weekend Masses or at Parish Office Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
ST PETER PARISH CONFERENCE OF ST VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY-HELPING NEIGHBORS IN NEED- is a group of women and men joined together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul. Efforts include food and vouchers for parish households in need. They are asking for Market Basket, Shaw’s, or Star Market Gift Cards in increments of $25.00 or $50.00 to support our neighbors in need of groceries. Please hand donations to a Parish Staff member or drop off at the Parish Office Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
SAINT PETER SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM Saint Peter School provides a hot lunch to every student who wants one, regardless of the ability to pay. Your gift of any amount will allow us to continue providing this necessary benefit. Please hand donations to a Parish Staff member or drop off at the Parish Office Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
HOW TO RETURN YOUR GIFT – Please purchase only physical gift cards, not e-gift cards. You may also donate by check payable to Saint Peter Parish. Please write on the check or on a note to which organization you would like your check donation applied. You may mail gift cards and checks to us at Saint Peter Parish, 100 Concord Ave, Cambridge, MA 02138, or you may hand them to any parish staff member at weekend Masses, or drop off at the parish office Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM.
